Corsair, a world leader in closed-loop liquid cooling systems, today announced the release of its first low-profile liquid CPU cooler, the Hydro Series H5 SF, bringing the quiet and efficient benefits of liquid cooling to the smallest of PCs. Mounting to any Mini-ITX motherboard and equipped with a specially tuned low-noise blower fan, the H5 SF is able to cool even an overclocked CPU within the confines of the most compact small form factor cases.
be quiet!, the market leader in PC power supplies in Germany for nine consecutive years*, extends its cooler range with a new model in a smaller size: the Shadow Rock LP is characterized by its compact low-profile design and high cooling capacity, making it ideal for use in space-saving but powerful desktop systems and home theater PCs (HTPCs).
It seems like there is a trend in the CPU cooler industry where many companies are coming out with coolers that are made to be 100% compatible with larger memory modules and large VRM cooling on motherboards. I think this has a lot to do with the mini-ITX platform being more popular, but in any case it is a good thing. No one likes clearance issues and the smaller the cooler typically the easier it is to install. The only thing you need to worry about is performance and we are going to see if the Phanteks PH-TC12LS can live up to that. This is a C-type cooler that is 100% compatible with high VRM and RAM modules that features a an aluminum heatsink design, six copper heatpipes and a 120 mm cooling fan. Let’s get this cooler installed and see what it can do!
Continuing its recent focus on premium grade cooling components for compact systems such as ITX based gaming or Home Theater PCs, Noctua today released its new NH-L9x65 low-profile cooler and a 4-pin PWM version of its popular NF-A6x25 60mm fan. While the latter adds PWM support for automatic speed control to the proven NF-A6x25 design, the NH-L9x65 is a taller, performance-enhanced version of Noctua’s award-winning NH-L9 low-profile coolers.
SilverStone has just introduced two new CPU coolers into their Argon series, the AR05 and AR06. Both models are low-profiles coolers, but the AR06 is the taller of the two at 58 mm tall. It features four 6 mm heatpipes and a 92 mm rifle bearing fan.
Thermalright has now showed off its latest heat-dispersing creation, the HTPC-friendly AXP-200 CPU cooler. It is basically designed for low profile desktop systems. It is capable of greatly enhanced airflow and surface for heat dissipitation.
Last year Noctua released their NH-L9 series low profile CPU coolers. They were extremely small (37mm) and offered some pretty good cooling as well. Noctua is back with a new low profile cooler that they were showing at Computex. This cooler is just a little bit bigger at 65mm high, but still will fit in compact systems pretty easily.
Xigmatek carries on to initiate once again this time taking on Janus to be the name which hopefully would be heard for many years to come in the CPU cooling industry. Yes you got that right. Xigmatek has just introduced their low profile CPU cooler. This amazing machine is considered to be the world’s thinnest low profile coolers, varying at an incredible height of 60mm which can actually fit anywhere.
