We have already reviewed a few Speck iPhone cases here at ThinkComputers and were very impressed with them. So after reviewing 2 of their cases they sent us one of their most popular cases, the CandyShell. The CandyShell is a very unique case because it is both a rubberized case as well as a hard-shell case. Funny thing is I know 2 of my friends that have had this case for a while and love it, so I am very excited to take a look at it.
Last month we took a look at our first iPhone case from Speck, the Fitted Case. It proved that Speck is not one of those companies creating garbage cases just to jump on the popularity of the iPhone. They were nice enough to send us another case, the PixelSkin which is a rubber case with a textured tile pattern that provides a comfortable, tactile sensation in your hand and a no-slip grip. The case offers openings to all ports, controls and sensors for convenient accessibility. Let’s take a look at the PixelSkin iPhone case!

There are sure a lot of choices when it comes to iPhone cases and believe me there are a lot of garbage cases out there, just go to your local mall to one of those stands and you will see what I mean. During CES this year I was introduced to Speck, a company who makes stylish cases and bags for many portable devices and laptops. The one case that really caught my eye at the show was the Fitted iPhone Case. Speck was nice enough to send one along for review, so let’s see if this Fitted case is a good mix of style and protection for your iPhone.
A few weeks ago when I got back from CES I went out and met up with my usual group of friends. Being the “tech guy” in the group two of my friends had to show me their new phones. Both were smartphones to my surprise, most of my friends are not tech people at all and have no need for all of the functions of a smartphone. The 2 phones were the Samsung Moment and the HTC myTouch. My two friends were really excited to show me how they customized the Android home screen and all of the applications they had. I’m an iPhone guy and I’ve had my iPhone for quite a while. It felt good having one of the only phones that could have apps on it, but now almost anyone can get an Android phone! This begs the question, is Android taking over the mobile OS market?
Yesterday Apple announced their highly anticipated tablet computer dubbed the iPad. Everyone knew it was coming and it seems Apple is the only company that could make a product like this successful. The iPad is really just a larger iPod touch or iPhone in all aspects. It comes out in 60 days and the big question is who is really going to buy this? Read on as we go over the new iPad and discuss its features and applications.
One thing many iPhone users have complained about is the battery. If you are using mobile web, GPS, or an app that using the internet you will see your battery life start to die very quickly. For this reason many companies have made charging packing and iPhone cases that have batteries in them to charge your iPhone. Today we will be looking at the iConn+ iPhone Battery Case from Nitrox, a newcomer to the iPhone accessory market. Let’s take a look…
I’ve had an iPhone since the first generation and being that I spent $400 on the first generation and another $200 on the 3G, I try to protect my investment. This means that I’ve gone through a lot of cases. Most cases I’ve checked out have been basically the same, but the Reveal is a little different, not to mention it is one of the thinnest and lightest cases that I have seen. Let’s take a look at the Reveal and see if it is the perfect case for your iPhone.
If you have an iPhone or iPod and a car with an auxiliary audio input I’m sure you’ve already taken advantage of it with an audio cable, being able to play music from your iPod through your car’s speakers. This is good and everything but switching songs can be quite dangerous while driving. Griffin knows this and has come up with the TuneFlex AUX with SmartClick. It not only allows you to easily switch songs, but it also charges your iPhone or iPod. Read on as we take a look…
