We have been hearing a lot about Intel’s 3rd generation Core processors and the Z77 chipset. The Z77 chipset is made to be an upgrade from the current Z68 chipset. Using many of the same technologies as the Z68 chipset the Z77 also adds support for the Virtu Universal MVP, native USB 3.0 support, Smart Connect and Rapid Start. Today we are taking a look at our first motherboard based on the Intel Z77 chipset the Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H. This motherboard is one of the twelve Z77 motherboards Gigabyte has announced. It is set to be their mainstream Z77 offering so let’s just right in and take a look.
I’m sure most of you know ECS mainly for motherboards, but they had some other stuff to show us this year at CES. To start off they showed us their G11 All-In-One DIY barebones system. The system is based on a platform developed by Intel in conjunction with ECS. The other interesting product was the Wi-Bridge which allows you to stream media content to any display using WiFi. We didn’t leave out the motherboards ECS was showing either, read on to check it all out!
