MSI has just launched two new motherboards as part of their Gaming Series of motherboards. They are the B85I Gaming and the B85M gaming. The B85M gaming is a Micro-ATX board whereas the B85I Gaming is Mini-ITX. These boards have many of the features found on MSI’s Gaming Motherboards like USB Audio Power, Killer LAN, Audio Boost, and a whole new software and hardware design for enhanced performance.
With that said ASUS has unveiled the B85-Pro Gamer motherboard. This ATX motherboard makes use of an 8-pase VRM, has four DDR3 DIMM slots, a single PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot, a PCI-Express 2.0 x4 slot, and two PCI-Express 2.0 x1 slots. Storage on the board come in the form of four SATA 6GB/s ports and two SATA 3GB/s ports.
ASRock has just announced a new gaming motherboard and interestingly enough it is using Intel’s B85 chipset. The board in question is the Fatal1ty B85 Killer Motherboard which features Killer E2200 Series LAN, Gaming Armor, Key Master and XSplit.
BIOSTAR has released their all new motherboards which are based on the Intel B85 chipset and they are now ready to be purchased. Intel’s 4th generation Core i7 and Core i5 processors are supported by these motherboards and it does so by the 1150 package which is making use of the Intel B85 single chip architecture.
We have detailed many of Gigabyte’s upcoming Haswell motherboards. These have included the G1.Sniper 5 and G1.Sniper M5, Z87X-OC and the Z87X-UD4H. Those were the more high-end motherboards, but what about the value boards? Today we are detailing Gigabyte’s sub-$150 boards based on the Z87 Express and B85 Express chipsets. The boards we will be looking at are the Z87-UD3H, Z87-D3HP and the B85M-D3H.
