When we think of CyberPower we think of their high-end gaming PCs, but they have just announced a home theater PC (HTPC) series which looks very promising. The Zeus HTPC will act as your DVR, enthusiast home theater PC, gaming console and DVD/Blu-ray player all in one. The sleek chassis uses a passive cooled heatsink technology paired with razor fins for maximum heat dissipation and minimal noise.
The home theater PC (HTPC) market is still very big and almost everyone I know these days have some sort of computer connected to their TV. With HDMI you can easily connect any PC to your TV for easy viewing of movies, TV shows, YouTube and much more. The thing is no one wants an ugly tower sitting next to their TV stand. For this reason the HTPC case was created. SilverStone’s Grandia Series is their line of mainstream HTPC cases and today we are taking a look at the Grandia Series GD08. The GD08 features support for motherboards up to extended ATX, room for up to 12 hard drives, USB 3.0 support and a sleek brushed aluminum front bezel. Read on as we take a look at the GD08!
We have seen quite a few different Mini PC’s lately. They make great Internet surfing and media machines for home theater setups. Not that long ago we took a look at Zotac’s ZBOX HD-AD02 mini PC, which proved to be a great and very function mini PC, but was a little on the large side. Today we have the ZBOX Nano AD10, which has to be one of the best-looking and smallest mini pc’s we have looked at. I know you are going to say it so we will say it now, it looks like a Mac Mini only smaller! Inside this small design you have an AMD E350 CPU, AMD Radeon HD 6310 graphics, 2GB of DDR3 and a 320GB hard drive. Let’s check out the ZBOX Nano and see if performs as well as it looks!
I’ve had a home theater PC for the longest time. My first one was just a normal PC that I connected to my TV. From there it has evolved getting smaller and smaller. With the progression of technology it is very impressive what all we can fit in to a small form factor (SFF) PC. Today we will be checking out the smallest form factor PC that I have ever seen! It is smaller than the Zotac ZBOX HD-AD02, Western Digital Live TV Hub and pretty much every other SFF we have got our hands on. Being super small it is still capable of HD playback, has 2GB of DDR3 memory, a 320GB hard drive, 4 USB ports and WiFi. So what is this SFF PC we are talking about? It is the Sapphire Edge HD2, let’s take a look…
At the end of last year week took a look at one of ASRock’s first nettop the ION 330HT, which was built around Intel’s Atom processor. With the release of Intel’s Core processors ASRock rebuilt their nettop series around this new architecture. These new nettops bring more processing power, full native 1080p playback, 7.1-channel HD audio, 802.11n wireless networking, and USB 3.0 support. We will be looking at the Core 100HT today which features an Intel Core i3-330M processor, 4GB of DDR3 memory, a 500GB hard drive and a SuperMulti optical drive. Let’s take a look and see if the Core 100HT is perfect for your home theater setup.
Last year at CES 2009, Silverstone wowed us with the uniquely shaped Raven and the aluminum unibody Fortress, two high end gaming cases. Both cases are aimed at the high-level enthusiast market. This year, however, Silverstone recognized the economic stress the world’s having, and turned out some chasses in a lower price range. Additionally, it released updated versions of its HTPC, Mini-ITX, and gaming chassis lines, weighed in on USB3, and unified its power supply line under a single name.
Moneual has many very attractive HTPC cases and home theater units, but this year, it’s branching out into several categories of computer hardware, including nettops, netbooks, and green PC designs. For most items, pricing and availability were unavailable at press time.
Thermaltake’s new division LUXA2 is made to be unique and we have a very unique case for you today. The LM200 touch is a HTPC case that not only looks great it also makes the installation process really easy. This aluminum case features a 7-inch touch screen LCD, room for 2 hard drives, a hidden optical drive bay, and a very spacious interior. Let’s see if this new luxury brand can live up to the hype.
Acrylic cases were pretty popular a few years ago when case modding was quite big. It seems things have died down a bit and we really have not seen many acrylic cases come out. Well Sunbeam has sent us one of their new acrylic cases. It is not your ordinary tower it is a home theater PC case (HTPC). HTPC’s have become very popular over the past few years so why not make yours stand out with this case! Let’s take a look…
