Sapphire Radeon HD 6570 512MB Video Card Review

When it comes to video cards the entry level segment is not something many people who visit this site might be interested in but for both AMD and NVIDIA it is a very crucial segment that brings in a lot of money.  Last week AMD has released 2 new cards in to the entry-level segment that have completely new GPU’s based on the HD 6800 series Barts architecture.  These 2 cards are effectively replacements for the HD 5770 and HD 5670 cards.  Both cards have increased clock speeds and added stream processors over the previously mentioned cards.  Today we will be taking a look at the Radeon HD 6570 512MB video card.

CES 2011: AOC

AOC International, the modern descendant of Admiral, is a maker of fine display products for TV and computers alike. This year, AOC highlighted its Breeze tablet. This 800×600 8″ resistive screen tablet features Android 2.1 and retails for $179. It sports a USB port for mass storage connection, a microSD slot, and 4 GB of internal storage with 256 MB of RAM for its Rockchip processor. No cellular data, just WiFi (802.11b/g). The battery life for this 1.1 lb device is approximately six hours for video playback or 12 hours for audio. It supports orientation switching, too.

CES 2011: Plextor and Lite-On

I visited the suite of Phillips and Lite-On Digital Solutions (PLDS) to see the company’s Plextor and Lite-On products for the new year. First is the eNAU608, Lite-On’s “most personalized drive”. It’s an external, slim, USB 8x DVD writer with LightScribe and LabelTag functionality. Users can swap out inserts inside the top area in order to identify the drive as theirs. They can also print their own using packaged software. The drive is available now for $59.

HP De-branded 25-inch HD Widescreen LCD Monitor Review

There are oh so many monitors to choose from these days. Looking for the right monitors that suits your individual needs can be tricky, what with so many different features, styles, and finishes. Today we will be looking at a De-branded HP 25” HD-LCD Monitor. This monitor has some pretty impressive features; one example is a 1920×1080 resolution allowing you to have full 1080p, unlike those fake HD monitors. It’s also packed with a 3ms response time and a contrast ratio of 60,000:1. I for one am very excited to test this Monitor. ASUS VH232H 23-inch 1080p LCD Monitor Review

The ASUS vh232h is a 23″ LCD display with a 5ms response time, 20,000:1 contrast ratio, and a full 1080p 1920×1080 resolution. Add in HDMI connectivity and built-in speakers, this wall-mountable display is candidate for some serious gaming, movie-watching, or, well, Farmville-ing (if you’re of that persuasion). HP De-Branded 23-inch Widescreen LCD Monitor Review

So many people think that Computer Monitors are all the same, but really they are not. You cannot simply just go out a purchase a monitor and be done with it, especially if you have specific needs. Today we will be looking at a 23-inch widescreen monitor from Geeks.com which features 1920 x 1080 full HD resolution, a 5ms response time, HDMI input and integrated speakers. This display sells for just over $150, let’s see if it’s a good deal or not…

CES 2010: IOGear

IOGear has traditionally been a very IT-oriented company. Its core technology was KVM–a device to which a user connects a single keyboard, video (monitor), and mouse in order to control one of several connected computers.
