Intel’s Haswell refresh is coming very soon and the SKU list as well as pricing have been listed online. This list is for the non-K variants, so for all the overclockers out there you are going to have to wait just a little longer for information on those chips.
Just recently Intel has released 9 new Haswell mobile processors and a single new Celeron processor. These new processors feature the normal architectural improvement as well as increasing the frequency by 100 MHz compared to the previous versions.
It was known that the Haswell ‘Celeron’ Processors will not be launched till the first quarter of 2014 but Intel has already rolled out two SKUs ahead of the launch date. While these two are available for purchase already, the other will be available next month.
As expected Intel is planning to launch their Haswell refresh processor lineup in Q2 of 2014. Nothing really new is being added to the architecture except clock speed improvements. VR-Zone has revealed the full Core i7 Haswell refresh lineup and starts with the Core i7-4790 leading the way.
AMD’s APU project has really progressed over the past year. Ideally we would like an APU to be a 50/50 distribution of CPU and GPU Power. AMD’s upcoming Kaveri APU is the closest thing to it with 47% of it being made up of the GPU. Apple has finally refreshed their iMac lineup. This new refresh includes adding Intel’s newest Haswell processors with Iris Pro integrated graphics and NVIDIA’s 700 series dedicated graphics cards. This is a nice refresh for iMac users and will lead to much better performance on these machines.
HP has finally released its newest laptop featuring the Leap Motion technology. After months of anticipation, the worldwide leader in computer manufacturing has revealed the HP Envy 17 Leap Motion (Special Edition). All the hype created with this newest release can be justified with understanding this Leap Motion technology which enables the users to control the computer with the hand movements in the air.
