NVIDIA has officially slashed the price of their GeForce GTX 770 graphics card by 15% to take on AMD’s latest Radeon R9 285. The GeForce GTX 770 was first introduced in May of 2013 and priced at $399. The price was then adjusted to $329 when AMD introduced their Radeon R9 290.

Galaxy has officially launched its “Gamer” line of graphics cards. The cards were actually unveiled way back in December of 2013, but now its seems they are finally making it to market. Right now the series will only include two cards, which include the GeForce GTX 760 Gamer and GeForce GTX 770 Gamer.

NVIDIA’s GeForce 700 series of cards are made up of the GTX 760, GTX 770 and GTX 780. The GTX 770 is actually based on the same GPU as the GeForce GTX 680. It makes use of the 28nm GK104 chip. This chip features 8 streaming multiprocessors (SMX units), 1536 stream processors, 1218 texture units and 32 ROPs. The GTX 770 is clocked a little higher than the GTX 680 with a 1049 MHz core clock and a boost clock of 1085 MHz. The memory is also higher at 7010 MHz (effective). With these improvements and since many companies are already used to working with the GK104 chip this should make for better performance and a more powerful card. Galaxy has announced another GeForce GTX 770 to their lineup. It is the GeForce GTX 770 GC 4GB. This card features double the memory of reference edition cards. The extra 2GB of memory really helps out if you plan to be running an SLI setup.
Leadtek has unveiled its high-end non-reference designed GeForce GTX 770 graphics card, the WinFast GTX 770 Hurricane III. With the model number of WFGTX770-2GD5DF3 the card looks to use the old GeForce GTX 680 reference PCB with 5 phases enabled and a custom cooling solution.
Many people may think that Zotac’s AMP! cards are their highest offerings, but their Extreme Edition’s are actually the best. They have just launched their GeForce GTX 770 Extreme Edition graphics card in the greater China region. This card features a strong VRM, an updated Gamer Force cooler with higher aluminum fin desnsity for the GPU, a larger metal heatsink for the VRM and a back-plate to cool components on the other side of the card.
It looks like NVIDIA will not be releasing any new cards in their 700 series in 2013 after the launch of their GeForce GTX 760 graphics card and indicated by the leaked slide that you see below. This week NVIDIA is supposed to introduce the GeForce GTX 760 Graphics Card, but after that do not expect anymore GeForce 700 series cards to be released in 2013.
Gigabyte has announced another variant to its GeForce GTX 770 line of graphics card. This one is called the GeForce GTX 770 WindForce 3X OC, which is basically an overclocked version of the already released GeForce GTX 770 WindForce card. It features a factory overclock, a non-reference PCB, Gigabyte’s WindForce 3X cooler and 4GB of onboard memory.
