Everyone has their favorite bag for carrying around tech gear. Although throughout the years, I’ve seen plenty of equipment get damaged from accidentally dropping a bag. At CES 2016, Griffin announced Survivor, a new lineup of stylish, weather and crush-proof bags, while remaining TSA compliant with a zip-open lie-flat design.
For many years Apple has used MagSafe and MagSafe 2 power adapters for their laptops. MagSafe magnetically connects to the laptop’s case, so if someone would trip over the cord, the connector would safely breakaway without damaging the laptop or port. Although with Apple’s latest MacBook, MagSafe has been eliminated for a standard USB-C port. Griffin decided to bring back a magnetically connected cable by introducing BreakSafe USB-C Cable.
Popularity of wearables increased over the last few years. Despite their popularity, it is another device that we need to keep charged in our busy digital lives. Griffin aims to make lives a bit less stressful with Travel Power Bank. It is a portable charger for Apple Watch that is very light and stylish.
Driving can be fun, stressful, annoying, and a lot of other emotions. Luckily, radios and CD players have been stock in vehicles for years. But as mobile devices increased in popularity, vehicle manufacturers weren’t ready to outfit their products with the latest technology. If you’re stuck without Bluetooth or USB in your vehicle, then iTrip Aux or iTrip Bluetooth may be what you’re looking for. iTrip Aux has a built-in Lightning connector for modern Apple devices, and iTrip Bluetooth provides a wireless interface for all mobile devices that support Bluetooth. iTrip Aux and iTrip Bluetooth both forward the audio they receive to any 3.5mm input, allowing most older vehicles to be outfitted with new connectivity options.
Bluetooth stereo adapters can be found almost anywhere for fairly cheap. But Twenty by Griffin isn’t your everyday, run of the mill adapter, from its look to specs, Twenty is designed to be a Bluetooth interface for a hi-fi stereo system.
As families (and individuals) obtain more and more mobile devices, the number of chargers, specific cables, and available outlets to charge all of these devices can be difficult to maintain. Griffin has created PowerDock Pro to organize and simplify charging all mobile devices.
It’s happened to everyone at least once, you unplug a device that’s charging and the cable goes flying off of your desk into an awkward space that you don’t want to crawl into. Griffin’s Guide solves this problem by fusing metal with magnets to keep those pesky cords where they belong – on your desk!
Griffin showed at its CES 2013 booth an extensively-tested waterproof and drop-resistant iPhone case and some useful other products, including a series of wooden headphones. The iPhone case is resistant in water several meters deep and can withstand a military drop test. The Wood Tones line of headphones come in 3 different colors and are extremely comfortable. Check out the video for more on Griffin’s newest products.
If there is one thing that has always bothered me it was that I have about 6 remotes for everything that is in my home theater setup. This means I have to keep track of all 6 and if I lose one it is a pain. Even a universal remote is something that can easily be lost. If there is one thing that you always have with you it is your cell phone. Griffin has come up with a really cool device that allows you to control everything in your home theater with your iPhone or iOS device. It’s called the Griffin Beacon and we are going to take a look at it today.
