The EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Hydro Copper is EVGA’s liquid-ready GeForce GTX 780 offering, although it may be out of the reach of some users. I mean it does have a high price tag and you will need your own full water cooling loop to use it. Nonetheless EVGA was showing it off at Computex for all to see.
Well the wait is over, NVIDIA has officially announced the GeForce GTX 780 graphics card. This card is the first addition to its GeForce 700 Series desktop lineup. This card is based on the same GK110 chip that was in the GTX Titan, but it has 2304 CUDA cores and 192 TMUs compared to the 2688 CUDA cores and 224 TMUs of the GTX Titan. The card uses 3GB of GDDR5 memory over a 384-bit bus.
Earlier today we mentioned that Expreview had posted the first review of the GeForce GTX 780. What we didn’t tell you is that in the review they also revealed the Inno3D GeForce GTX 780 Super Ice Dragon Edition video card. The first review of NVIDIA’s upcoming GeForce GTX 780 has been published by Expreview and it shows some great performance for the first GeForce 700 Series part. In their tests they have compared the GeForce GTX 780 to the GeForce GTX Titan, GeForce GTX 680 and the AMD Radeon HD 7970. The results show about a 25% performance increase over the GeForce GTX 680 and about a 5% decrease compared to the GeForce GTX Titan.
Finally the specification chart for the upcoming NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 graphics card has been unveiled. This confirms all of the details we have been reporting over the past month. NVIDIA already publicly announced the card in China at the GeForce E-Sports event and the official launch is expected on May 23rd 2013.
The GeForce GTX 780 is all but officially announced. Even though NVIDIA showed the card off at GeForce eSports in China we should expect an official announcement next week on May 23rd. At the GeForce E-Sports festival in mainland China NVIDIA went ahead and publicly announced the flagship GeForce GTX 780 graphics card. The GeForce GTX 780 is set to launch next week on May 23rd 2013. The announcement was made by Scott Herkelman, NVIDIA’s GeForce general manager. Both VR-Zone and 4Gamer were at the event and got shots of the announcement.
Everyone has been wondering how much improvement the upcoming GeForce GTX 780 would have over the card that it is replacing the GeForce GTX 680. We now know as the first benchmarks of the upcoming GeForce GTX 780 have been revealed by the Chiphell forums. The benchmarks show that the GeForce GTX 780 is about 20% faster than the GeForce GTX 680.

Looks like we are getting closer and closer to the launch of NVIDIA’s 700 Series of graphics cards. VideoCardz has revealed the packaging of the upcoming flagship GeForce GTX 780 graphics card from Inno3D. The picture confirms that the card will feature 3 GB of GDDR5 memory and is powered by the GK110 architecture.
