I’ve owned my Galaxy gear for roughly a month now, and have to say that it is honestly a surprise. I was sketchy at first because of the $300 price tag and how much would I be using this, but honestly, I’ve used this thing more times a day than I thought possible. I get tons of notifications a day, and now instead of pulling into my pocket to grab my phone, I just flip the wrist and see what notification popped up. The 1.6-inch AMOLED screen is crystal clear, sharp and gives off great colors. Here’s my take on the Samsung Galaxy Gear…
The first custom ROM for Samsung’s Galaxy Gear Smartwatch has been released and it brings a lot of interesting features with it. The most important being that it will allow the smartwatch to be paired with any Android device, so you do not need a Samsung Galaxy phone to use the smartwatch.
Earlier this week we leaked photos of Samsung’s upcoming Smartwatch the Galaxy Gear and now Samsung has officially announced the device at IFA 2013 in Berlin. So now we know what the Galaxy Gear actually is. The Galaxy Gear Smartwatch is exactly that a smartwatch, but it is made to be an accessory that works with your Galaxy smartphone.
Venturebeat got its hands on the new upcoming prototype of Samsung under the tag of the ‘Samsung Galaxy Gear’ and was able to leak a few tits and bits even before it was unveiled at IFA, Berlin. What we can see is only the image snapped from a promo video of the gadget as pictures were not allowed to be taken by any media personnel. The 3 inches Samsung Galaxy Gear, which is expected to release alongside the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, is OLED (organic light-emitting diode) type and the resolution of the squared screen could unfortunately not be known.
