EK Water Blocks, known all around the world for providing premium quality cooling gear, has recently made an introduction of its EK-SB ASUS M6G. The Ljubljana based manufacturer has rolled out its new water block which will assist the water cooling for the Intel Z87 Express PCH which is the Periphery Hub Controller and are going to be featured on the ASUS Maximus VI Gene and Hero 4th generation Intel Core series motherboards.
It has rightly been reported that the firm is currently busy with the rolling out of its newest range of water blocks which have exclusively been designed for the all new ASUS Republic of Gamers Rampage IV Black Edition X79 LGA-2011 motherboard. And as the water blocks are still going through their development process, we will have to wait for a while till they are officially made available by the middle of next month.
EK Water Blocks has just introduced the world’s first full-cover water cooling solution for AMD’s latest R9 290X graphics card. The EK-FC R9-290X will fit any reference R9 290X and directly cools the GPU, RAM and well as the VRM. It also features a high flow design that allows it to be used in liquid cooling systems with weaker water pumps.

Currently, ASUS has two different designs of the of R9280X-DC2(T) series graphics cards and one of them being the initial versions, namely the ASUS R9280X-DC2(T)-3GD5-V2, extends full compatibility with EK-FC7970 DCII water block. On the other hand, the ASUS R9280X-DC2(T)-3GD5 has been redesigned hence it cannot offer compatibility right away.
EK Water Blocks has announced that their existing EK-FC series water blocks are compatible with the majority of AMD Radeon R9 280X graphics cards that were recently launched. This is because the Radeon R9 280X is based on the same Tahiti XT GPU that was used on the Radeon HD 7970 and HD 7950. So many card manufacturers have simply re-used the existing board design, most commonly known as AMD’s reference design (109-C38637).

EK Water Blocks has introduced a new full coverage water block for ASUS’s DirectCU II series of NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 graphics cards. The EK-FC780 GTX DCII water block will directly cool the GPU, VRM and memory as water flows directly over these critical areas. This will allow the graphics card and its VRM to remain stable under high overclocks.
EK Water Blocks is making efforts on two new Full Cover Water Blocks for MSI and EVGA Customized PCB designed NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780 series graphics cards. These are going to be for the MSI N780GTX Lightning and lately launched EVGA 780 GTX Classified (03G-P4-3788) graphics cards.
EK Water Blocks has introduced their latest series of high performance Laing D5 and DDC powered water cooling pumps, which are all manufactured and assembled in Europe. The new lineup includes the EK branded Laing (now Xylem) D5 Vario and DDC 3.25 / 3.2 PWM pump motors. EK’s water pumps now come with factory pre-installed performance enhanced DDC- and D5 water pumps with high performing EK-DDC- & EK-D5 X-TOP volutes, X-RES type pump / reservoir combo units as well as 5.25″ single bay Dual DDC pump / reservoir combo units.
