It really has been quite some time since we have looked at memory from Kingston. Since that time Kingston has not only changed the design of their heatspreaders, but also launched their new Genesis HyperX memory as well. Today we are going to be unboxing 2 different memory kits, the HyperX Limited Edition (KHX1600C7D3X1K2/4GX) and the HyperX Genesis (KHX1600C9D3X2K2/8GX). We just want to show you the difference in the 2 memory kits and the Genesis memory up close. Read on to check out our Unboxing video!
As many of you know our friends over at Patriot were nice enough to send us over 48GB of their 8GB G2 Series single modules. That is six 8GB modules, giving us a total of 48GB of DDR3! It is really crazy to think about that much memory in a system, it is close to a small solid state drive. We’ve had a lot of fun with all of this memory over the past couple of weeks and yes we installed all 48GB in a single system. Read on to check all the fun we’ve had with this memory!
Today I will be looking at Corsair’s flagship performance memory, the Dominator GT DDR3-2000 triple channel kit. This particular kit is a 6GB kit with 8-8-8-24 timings. Not only does the Dominator GT series support Intel’s XMP 1.2, Corsair has supplied them with a sharp looking beefed-up version of their DHX heatspreaders, and included a Corsair Airflow Fan for active memory cooling. And of course they are supported by Corsair’s lifetime warranty. Will the Dominator GT actually dominate? Read on to see!
