Over the past years Cooler master cases are being considered top of the line cases when it comes to performance, sizes, artistic and being moddable. Cooler Master has started showing off their latest line which is expected to come throughout the year. Most people who are into cases know that Cooler Master Cosmos II is the best cases ever built. There are rumors that these cases will be released before this year finishes.
Nanoxia is best known for their quiet PC case, but up until now they only offered larger tower case. At Computex they are showing an unnamed mini-ITX case. This is no surprise as mini-ITX systems have become extremely popular over the past year. Nanoxia says this case is designed for both air and water cooling solutions.
We were huge fans of be quiet’s Dark Power Pro 10 power supplies, but since they have a high price tag many people will not get their hands on them. Be quiet! has responded to this and at Computex they were showing off a new power supply series. The Power Zone series will be a lower price point, but still keep many of the same features as the higher-end Dark Power Series.
We know a lot about ASRock’s top of the line Z87 OC Formula motherboard. It has quite a lot of features specially made for overclockers, but one that really stands out is the conformal coating on the PCB. This protects the motherboard from conductive liquids, dust, moisture, corrosion, extreme temperatures, oxygen, Ozone and UV light. At Computex ASRock had a live demo of water running over a Z87 OC Motherboard that was powered on and running!
ASUS’s TUF Series of motherboards offer their Thermal Armor on both the front and back of the board. At Computex they were showing off some really cool artist-designed TUF series boards where the artists made up their own designs for the Thermal Armor. They are pretty awesome and definitely brought some attention at ASUS’s booth.
In Win has been making headlines at Computex with their Tou and KingSize H-Frame cases, but they also had a new power supply on display that actually matches up pretty well with those cases. The Serenity Series power supply has a chrome brushed steel finish and offers a semi-modular design.
At Computex Intel is showing off a Prototype flash drive, which they are calling the “world’s fastest thumb drive” which uses Thunderbolt technology rather than USB. The key-shaped drive carried with it a capacity of 128 GB and plugs directly into a Thunderbolt port. The drive itself is about the same size as normal USB flash drives.
We know Fractal Design for some really sleek cases that give you great cooling options and room for a lot of storage. They have shown up at Computex with a few new cases, most notable are the new Arc XL and Arc Mini R2. The Arc XL is a full tower case and the Arc Mini R2 is a more compact mirco-ATX case.
MSI has a little teaser at their booth at Computex. While all of their other graphics cards are displayed on the wall the upcoming GeForce GTX 780 Lightning card is covered in a clouded clear box so you really cannot see it. We do not know when MSI will be releasing this card, but it should be their best GeForce GTX 780 offering to date.
It looks like Corsair is not the only one showing off box-type cases at Computex. Lian Li has two on display actually. They are the PC-D600 and PC-D7000. The PC-D600 is split right in the middle, while the PC-D7000 is not as boxy, but is not your ordinary case either. Did we mention both of these cases are massive?!
