Visiting CyberPower at CES each year is always a treat as we get to see some really great gaming machines. This year CyberPower showed us their massive Black Mamba 3 gaming system, which not only is a powerhouse but has quite a lot of water-cooling. They were also showing an all-in-one solution which supports a full sized video card. We got a glimpse of the new Fang Book gaming laptop and the Zeus SFF gaming system.
Car marker Chevrolet made an appearance at Digital Experience in order to demonstrate its new MyLink in-car computer system. It can synchronize with various storage devices and mobile phones to provide a useful, safe driver-centric experience upgrade for its 2014 Impala sedan.
With the products they showed at Digital Experience, Buffalo is further diversifying its product lineup by delving deeper into the storage sector. They displayed a set of external SSDs connected via Thunderbolt, including a professional-level dual drive unit configured in RAID 0. They also showed a HDD with a DDR3 RAM cache for near SSD performance at a very affordable price. Buffalo also showed a series of Linkstation NASes that use a central relay system for Buffalo Link, a way to access files remotely from any computer or mobile device.
We already covered what MSI was showing at CES in their motherboard and video card lines, but they also were showing full system solutions in laptops and tablets. MSI offers a wide variety of gaming laptops that will give you the performance you need while you are on the go. Many of these gaming laptops feature Killer Double Shot networking and SteelSeries backlit keyboards. The highlight for me was the Slidebook S20 convertible Ultrabook. It is essentially a tablet with a slide out keyboard, but will still allow you to be productive on the road. I looks like 2013 is going to be a good year for MSI!
When you think of storage, especially fast storage you should be thinking about ADATA. This year at CES they showed us many different storage solutions. The SX300 is the worlds first 384GB mSATA solid state drive. The AE400 is a multi-use device that can act as a WiFi extender, media player for Smart TV’s, portable wireless storage and much more. The SE900 is a Thunderbolt portable solid state drive. ADATA also showed us the next generation of mSATA technology that will launch when Intel’s Haswell platform launches.
One of the companies I was really looking forward to visiting at CES this year was Cooler Master. I was not disappointed either, they had quite a lot of new products on display. Starting on the gaming side they have a new version of the QuickFire Rapid gaming keyboard and many other new gaming products. They have a new Elegant case in the ATCS 710 and a whole new line of cases in the N Series. They also showed us some new notebook cooling solutions. Read on to check it all out!
OCZ has had their ups and downs over this past year as we explained in our review of their brand new Vector solid state drive. This year at CES OCZ is really only announcing one consumer product, which is the Vector PCIe Solid State drive. If you remember OCZ’s Revo drives this is the same type of drive except it is based on the new Barefoot 3 controller that we saw in the new Vector drive. Read on to check it out!
TP-LINK has made some remarkable networking products that won’t break your wallet. We caught up with them at Digital Experience during CES 2013 to check out their latest products. Dan from TP-LINK showed us an AC 1750Mbps router, USB 11ac adapter, 500Mbps powerline plus wireless AP adapters, along with a no setup (WPS) wireless repeater. All of the products look promising, while keeping the same TP-LINK quality and price point we’ve come to love. Check out the video for the entire rundown.
Thermaltake’s gaming brand Tt eSPORTS has been making waves over the past year with a slew of different gaming peripherals. At CES this tear we had a chance to catch up with them and check out some of their gaming headsets, keyboards and mice.
