We travelers carry with us a growing number of devices that charge via USB: phones, tablets, cameras, and more. While devices are solid, easily stored objects, their power cords and wall adapters are nebulous masses of frustration at the bottom of a backpack! The Aviiq Portable Charging Station aims to address this problem by providing a neat carrying case with a removable, four port USB power hub. It provides spools for cables and lays them in such a way that removing them isn’t wholly necessary. ThinkComputers has the review.
Just about every USB device once purchases comes with a USB cable. However, any person who has a lot of USB devices can veritably explain that not all USB cables are created equal. We first saw Aviiq’s ReadyClips USB cables at CES this year. This trio includes cables with a standard USB A male connector on one end and a micro USB connector (for phones, primarily), mini USB connector (for cameras and such), or an iPod connector.
AViiQ is known for their laptop stands and portable products. They focus on portability and usability. At CES 2012, AViiQ showed us both of their laptop stands, which place the laptop at a 12 degree ergonomic angle. The Smart Case for the iPad 2 which doesn’t compromise style for performance. A Portable Charging Station with easy cable management for multiple devices, a 4 port USB hub, and a battery pack so you won’t need any outlet. Ready Clips, which are flexible cables that are very portable and easy to carry. Quick Change is a 3-in-1 USB cable that features micro, mini, and an Apple dock port. Mini Surge Protector that easily allows you to get power to 3 AC outlets and 2 USB ports in a portable form factor. Lastly, AViiQ’s Slim Travel Adapter eliminates the need for bulky electrical adapters by folding up into a neat package when not in use.
Laptop stands are always a good thing to have around. They making typing and using your laptop much easier but more importantly they place your laptop at an ergonomically-correct angle. I have quite a few laptop stands actually, but the thing that bothers me is that they take up so much space when you are traveling. Today we have a notebook stand that is extremely portable; it folds up for easy storage and traveling! It has quite a large price tag, let’s see if it’s worth it!
