ASRock has announced its FM2 A10 OC Competition by HWBOT, which is a website committed to the display of achievements in the field of overclocking. The competition will look into two benchmarks of the performances of CPU-Z and the 3DMark11 and the competing brands will try to score the highest numbers in those two fields for HWBOT. The competitors entering into this competition, which is expected to start from the 23rd of this month, will have the motherboards of ASRock FM2 or FM2+ series and the AMD A10 series APUs. The FM2+ series are equipped with the latest chipset from AMD; the A88X.
ASRock has unveiled their flagship Z87 Extreme 11/TB20 motherboard at IDF13 San Francisco. Designed for the Haswell platform this board features an incredibly high-end design that features 22 SATA ports and dual Thunderbolt ports.
ASRock has just unveiled its first socket FM2+ motherboards which are ready for AMD’s upcoming A-Series “Kaveri” APUs. These motherboards are also backwards compatible with the A-Series “Richland” and “Trinity” APUs. The most notable FM2+ boards from ASRock are the FM2A88X-Extreme6+ and the FM288M-Extreme4+.
ASRock has unveiled their latest motherboard in the H87E-ITX/ac. This is ASRock first mini-ITX motherboard that features 802.11ac wireless networking. As you can guess by the name the board features Intel’s H87 chipset and supports Intel’s 4th generation core Haswell processors. The board has a 4-phase VRM and gets power from 24pin ATX and 8pin EPS connectors. There is room for up to 32 GB of DDR3 memory and there is a single PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot. The mPCIe slot is populated by the WLAN card.
There was a rumor in the air that only K-series CPUs and Z-family platform are capable of being over-clocked. The avant-garde company ASRock has broken the restraint with a thrilling new feature called the Non-Z OC. With the help of this feature, overclockers can install their K-series CPUs to ASRocks Fatal 1ty H87 performance or H87 and B85 chipsets motherboards and start off with the over-clocking immediately.
We know a lot about ASRock’s top of the line Z87 OC Formula motherboard. It has quite a lot of features specially made for overclockers, but one that really stands out is the conformal coating on the PCB. This protects the motherboard from conductive liquids, dust, moisture, corrosion, extreme temperatures, oxygen, Ozone and UV light. At Computex ASRock had a live demo of water running over a Z87 OC Motherboard that was powered on and running!
ASRock’s upcoming Z87 motherboard lineup includes a wide variety of products including the Z87 Formula, Z87 FATAL1TY and Z87 Extreme series. With the new Z87 series of board ASRock has come up with a feature set they are calling A-Style. Up until now we did not know the full details of A-Style, but now we do as Chiploco has leaked the features. Read on as we go over each in detail.
We showed you ASUS’s Z87 lineup just the other day and today we have ASRock’s Z87 lineup for you. It looks like ASRock will have a nice set of Haswell boards on launch including overclocking, gaming and mainstream offerings. Last week at CeBIT we saw many different companies show off Intel Haswell Z87 motherboards, ASRock included. ASRock also had something else pretty special to show at their booth, A custom Z87 mini-ITX gaming system. ASRock is actually pretty well knows for their mini PC’s, we have reviewed a few over the past couple of years. The system is made up of a few main parts. First the motherboard which is ASRock’s Z87-E ITX. Then you have a custom small form factor case that was co-designed by BMW DesignWorks USA.
Gigabyte showed quite a few Z87 motherboards at CeBIT already and now it is ASRock’s turn. ASRock is showing two Haswell-ready LGA 1150 motherboards at CeBIT. The first is based off the Z87 chipset and is the Z87-Extreme6. The second is based off the B85 chipset and is simply called B85M.
