It looks like the features for the 9-Series chipsets from Intel have been finalized. Leaked slides from Hermitage Akihabara show us some of the main features for the upcoming Z97 and X99 chipsets from Intel.
Our friends over at VR-Zone have revealed some very interesting details about the upcoming Intel Haswell refresh and Intel Broadwell platforms. The report shows that the new processors coming out of these platforms would only be compatible with new revised 9-series chipset motherboards.
It looks like we are finally getting some information on the CPUs that will follow the upcoming “Haswell” processors. It is actually pretty strange that we know any information at all as “Haswell” chips are not even out yet. The codename for the new processors will be “Broadwell” and they will be released in the second quarter of 2014. These processors will rely on 9-series based Z97 and H97 chipsets.
