We have already taken a look at G.Skill’s RipjawsZ and RipjawsX memory now it is time for their ARES series of memory. The ARES memory is designed to be low-profile so you can use it with larger aftermarket CPU coolers. Today we are taking a look at the 16GB kit of the ARES memory, specifically the F3-2133C11Q-16GAO kit. This kit runs at 2133MHz with timings of 11-11-11-30 at 1.6V. You can get these kits with both blue or orange heatspreaders. Read on as we take this memory through the paces.
We are back with another quad channel memory kit from G.Skill! This time it is their Ares DDR3-2133 16GB Quad Channel Kit. This kit runs at 2133MHz with timings of 11-11-11-30 at 1.60v. Since this is a quad channel 16GB kit each module is 4GB. G.Skill has designed these modules to be low-profile with very small heatspreaders. Perfect for systems with large CPU coolers and small form factor systems. The heatspreaders come in 2 different colors, blue and orange. Read on to check out our unboxing and overview video.
With Intel’s X79 chipset we started to see quad channel DDR3 memory. It is crazy to think that in just a short period of time we have gone from dual channel to quad channel memory. Not long after Intel released the X79 platform we started to see quad channel kits designed and certified specifically for the platform. Today we are taking a look at one such kit, the G.Skill RipjawsZ DDR3-2133 16GB quad channel kit (F3-17000CL9Q-16GBZH). This kit features four 4GB modules that run at 2133MHz with timings of 9-11-10-28. Read on as we take a look at our first quad channel memory kit.
