Speck Fitted iPhone Case Review

Fitted Case Overview
You can see why from the pictures below why the Fitted case really caught my attention. The design on the back of the case is really awesome! You will also notice that the back of the case isn’t made of silicone or plastic, it is actually fabric. This is what allows Speck to get these really cool designs! The design we received is called Black and White Plaid, but there are 11 other designs to choose from. On the back there is also a Speck logo.

As we flip the case over you can see that the other side is made of the hard shell material we are used to seeing on iPhone cases. This is what provides the protection for your iPhone. The case actually comes apart for easily installation of your iPhone.

Even though this case is made for protection it gives you access to all of your ports and buttons on the phone. As you can see there is a hole for the camera and spots for the headphones and power button.

  1. First saw this case at Meijer and paid $35 for it because my Moshi iPhone case cracked. I was in a hurry to purchase a case for protection and now I'm sorry I paid so much when it is offered for $15 less at Amazon. Live and learn, as usual. Does anyone know if the fabric cleans well and, if so, what did you use? I can't find anything online about cleaning. Are there other users that can share what they use to clean the fabric?

  2. I would not recommend the speck fitted fabric case to anyone considering it. I've had my purple plaid fitted case for 13 days and the fabric is already fraying at the edges, the plastic on the front is chipping, and the right (non-button) side tends to come loose. I can't argue that it's a stylish case, but it's not going to look good for long at the rate it's deteriorating!

  4. Speck cases are an expensive peice of junk. I had purchased one because I wanted to make sure my phone was really well protected. I ended up having 3 in 3 months because the first two were faulty and I was given a replacement both times under warranty. 3rd one seemed fine… I dropped my phone on tiles back side up and my screen cracked. I didn’t understand how the screen could crack when it didn’t even land on it. Anyway i will never buy another one and do not recommend them.
