SLI and CrossFire Support “Not Practical” Says Batman Arkham Knight Developer

Things are not getting better for the developers of Batman Arkham Knight for PC. Those looking for a patch that will allow the game to take advantage of multi-GPU technologies like SLI and CrossFire has yet to be seen. Responding to concern for this on the Steam Community forums a developer has stated that implementing multi-GPU support for the game was too high of a risk for creating new problems for gamers that it is “Not Practical”.

Batman Arkham Knight

The developer who goes by the name “wb.elder.pliny” on the Steam Community forms stated:

We’ve been working with our development and graphics driver partners over the last few months to investigate utilizing multi-GPU support within Batman: Arkham Knight. The result was that even the best case estimates for performance improvements turned out to be relatively small given the high risk of creating new issues for all players. As a result we’ve had to make the difficult decision to stop work on further multi-GPU support. We are disappointed that this was not practical and apologize to those who have been waiting for this feature.

Seems quite sad that this game cannot even have features that are pretty much standard on all other AAA titles. Since its disastrous initial launch and then its relauch Steam has said they will be taking refund for the game as many gamers and unsatisfied with the game.
