SilverStone TD02-E Liquid CPU Cooler Review

Final Thoughts
While the performance of the TD02-E leaves us wanting more I have to say that I was really quite impressed with the overall product. While there is a general trend in the industry to build these coolers with cheap plastics leaving them nearly identical and hard to tell one brand from another, the TD02-E bucks the trend. Finished with alloys and attention to detail Silverstone has created a stand out product. The quality doesn’t start and end with just the cooler either. The hardware and accessories are all top shelf products and worthy of the unit they support. One of my favorite touches was the carbon fiber inlay on the edge of the radiator. While it could have been left as a flat black edge, it adds a little more character and another unique touch to the interior of your case. Additionally the quiet fans and easy installation were both welcome additions. And a final point of praise for Silverstone is the price. The TD02-E can be had from our favorite online retailer for only $89.99! I find this price to be a bargain for what you are getting.

Unfortunately we do have to say that the performance of the TD02 isn’t up to our high level of expectation. We even hooked the fans up with the included molex adapted maxing them out and didn’t see a drop in our average temperature.

Overall ThinkComputers would like to award the Silverstone TD02-E with an 8 out of 10 score!
