The Samsung HDD division by Seagate Technology plc is bringing out the new shipment of 2.5-inch Spinpoint M9T hard drives. This hard drive is also available in another capacity of 1.5 TB.

The Spinpoint M9T is an ideal storage solution for those who want higher storage capacities in forms of external storage, notebook integration and gaming applications. The hard drive has been designed in a sleek and modern way and will fit into the mainstream notebook applications. The M9T brings a heavy advantage with it. Most of the mobile devices currently on the market have support for 9.5 mm drives and hence it was impossible to get a 2 TB storage on these devices because these drives at least come with a 15 mm thickness. Thanks to Seagate, their newest innovative design has made these mobile devices capable of using the 2 TB storage drive.

The unique selling point of the device is the higher aerial density in a small form factor and this gives users the added benefit of having vast storage option with the thinnest design available in the market. Moreover, the drive runs on the interface of SATA 6Gb/s along with microactuation which ensures a speedy performance for users.
