Performance Testing
This drive has 3 connections: USB, Firewire, and eSATA, but since there was no eSATA cable included we will only be testing the USB and Firewire. We used 3 different programs to test the drive, HD Tune, HD Tach, and Sandra’s Physical Disks Benchmark. Here are the results from the tests.

As you can see the speed of the drive is what you would expect from a USB or Firewire connected device. The Firewire connection was a little faster, but not by much. I really would have liked to be able to test the eSATA connection because it would have blown the USB and Firewire results out of the water!
