Testing – Sandra & CrystalDiskMark
Sandra Physical Disks benchmark is built into SiSoftware’s Sandra software suite. It tests drive performance and gives you a drive score and random access time.  First up is the read test.

Here the USB 3.0 connected drive scored 86.2MB/s with a random access time of 15ms.

Now it is time for the write test.

On this test the USB 3.0 connected drive scored 86.18MB/s with a random access time of 5.6ms.

Our final test is CrystalDiskMark.  It has a sequential read / write test as well as a 512k and 4k random read / write test.

The USB 3.0 connected drive scored sequential read and write scores of 111.7MB/s and 110MB/s respectively.
