Sapphire Radeon HD 7790 OC Edition Video Card Review

Sapphire HD 7790 OC Edition Overview
The Sapphire HD 7790 OC Edition is not an overly large card as you will see from the entire HD 7790 series of cards. The PCB itself is 21.5cm long, so you should not have an issue getting this card to fit in your system.

Of course this card is called “Dual-X” because of Sapphire’s own cooling system. The Dual-X design combines two large heatsinks with two copper heatpipes and a pair of 80mm aerofoil fans. The shroud is mainly black with a slight silver accent towards the top. There is a small Sapphire logo on the bottom right.

If we look at the card from the side we can see that it is a dual-slot card. The heatpipes go directly into the GPU block then go out into the heatsinks. On the opposite side there is a 6pin PCIe power connection and a Sapphire logo that will be able to be seen if you have a window in your case.

As far as connections go on the card you have dual DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort. One interesting thing about this card is that it has a black PCB. The black PCB of the card matches the black shroud which makes for an all around great look for the card.
