Sapphire Radeon HD 6570 512MB Video Card Review

Sapphire HD 6870 Overview
Just by looking at the HD 6870 you can tell it is a value card by its size.  The card is a little under 7-inches long and Sapphire has gone with a blue PCB.  You will notice there are no external power connectors on the card, this is because it requires no extra power than what is supplied via the PCI-E connection.  This is great for the mainstream crowd who just wants to pop this card in their system and be done.

As with most Sapphire cards this card deviates from the reference card just a little bit.  Sapphire has outfitted the card with an Arctic Cooling GPU cooling solution.  With such a low-budget card you probably do not need a cooling solution like this, but it will keep things nice and cool and run much quieter than the reference cooling solution.  The heatsink is all aluminum and uses a fan on top to keep things nice and cool.

With most entry-level cards they are normally single slot cards, but this is a dual slot card because of the custom cooling solution.  As far as connections goes you have HDMI, VGA and DVI.  I really like that HDMI is included on this card, it makes it perfect for a media center PC.
