Sapphire Edge HD2 Mini PC Review

Video Testing
I have yet to test a device that was using Nvidia’s ION 2 graphics processor.  This processor known as the GT218 has a core speed of 405MHz and a memory size of 512MB.  Let’s run 3DMark 11 on both the “Performance” and “Entry” settings.

The Edge HD2 is not meant to be a gaming powerhouse, but I decided to see if we could get some games running well on it.  The Source Engine powers many games that are still played today, the most famous being Counter-Strike: Source so we went ahead and ran the video stress test at different resolutions.

Very good results here, great to know you will be able to play many games on the Edge HD2.

  1. It is more than impressive that Sapphire is able to carry their graphical expertise to other segments of personal computing and entertainment! The review is fantastic and spot on. I’ll look forward to this product as a media-buff.

  3. Terrible terrible opposing colours to choose for those bar graphs…. blue vs. blue (I know I CAN tell the difference, but you could have made it easier).
