Poor review, you haven't said anything about how quickly it updates the screen or if there is any lag from the USB connection.

What about connecting using USB 1? Can you do this?

In that case what is the point of a laptop?

You can put this screen inside your laptop case quite easily and all it needs is a power cord and a USB cord. Assuming you have a power outlet and a desk, you can bring this out anywhere to get a second screen.

It's designed to fit and tilt alongside a laptop screen unlike desktop monitors which will sit a few inches above the laptop screen and might not tilt to the same angle.

Depends on the situation, in theory you could have a tri screen laptop with this setup, one screen on the laptop, one via VGA, and one via USB. Pretty neat IMO, and that style means that it lines up pretty well with the laptop screen to boot
