Since we are pretty much aware of the fact that we haven’t heard much about the Samsung series 9 Ultrabooks for a while, but now they have planned to rebrand it by announcing two follow up models of the ATIV Ultrabook series. Samsung has just introduced their ATIV Book 9 Plus which is 13-inch flag-ship laptop considered to be a complete replacement to the old series 9 model. Moreover the company has also announced the new ATIV Book 9 Lite, its again a 13-inch model but does not really meet the requirement of Ultrabook status.
Starting from ATIV Book Plus, it has the Haswell Processors (core i5 and core i7) along with a 3200×1800 touch screen display. Besides this, Samsung has also enhanced the backlit keyboard and track pad which was missing out on the old series 9. It also has a new display now coated in Gorilla Glass and has a 72% color scale. The ATIV Book 9 Plus can be converted to two hinge positions, one is at 105 degrees and the other at 180 degrees. This time to provide the users with a better touch screen experience, company collaborated with OCR, providing its customers with an amazing touch screen experience. Weighing in at 1.39kg, it is not the lightest 13 inch touch screen in the market but still pretty portable. As for the battery time, it will last 12 hours according to Samsung.
Coming down with the ATIV Book 9 Lite, it contains up to 256GB of SSD and a nameless quad core processor which is clocked at 1.4GHz. Since its a low end-device, it has screen resolution of 1366×768 and comes in a playful range of colors. 8.5 hours is the battery time with 4GB of RAM.
