Samsung Brings the 6.3-inch Galaxy Mega to the US

Seeing that Phablet-sized phones are really starting to catch on Samsung is bringing their 6.3-inch Galaxy Mega smartphone to the U.S. market. This is the ideal hybrid mobile device for those who want to experience smartphone portability with the immersive experience of a tablet.

The large screen is obviously the attention grabber here. The 6.3-inch HD Super Clear panel has a 1280 x 720 resolution. Powering the Galaxy Mega is a 1.7 GHz dual-core processor and 1.5 GB of memory. Other features include a 8-Megapixel rear-facing camera, 1.9-Megapixel front-facing camera, microSD card slot, and a 3200 mAh battery for extended use. It will be running Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) standard.

AT&T will be have the device available on August 23rd for $24 per month with AT&T next or for $150 with a 2-year service agreement. Sprint says they will carry the device sometime “later this year”.
