I’m going to preface this review by saying that if you haven’t seen the original ‘Men in Black’ movie you should just stop reading go watch the movie and come back to when you’re done.
“The Noisy Cricket was a very tiny gun with a lot of power. Despite its small size, it launches a large orb of energy. This palm-sized firearm wields an unbelievable amount of power. The Cricket can level a truck, blast through five feet of concrete, or shatter the penis of all but the hardiest of extraterrestrials. Few agents ever get the hang of holding the gun properly to minimize its kickback, often resulting in hurling them across the room.”
Yeah I took that right from the MIB Wikia and I don’t feel bad in doing so. Now you may ask yourself why I would even copy that. Have you ever looked at a product and thought of something you’ve seen in a movie? Well, if you’ve ever read any of my other reviews you’ll know I have a tendency to do that a lot. Most of the time it’s just a quote here and there but something about the Roccat Lua that just SCREAMS MIB Noisy Cricket to me.
When Bob told me I was going to review the Roccat Lua I was honestly excited. I saw the Lua during an E3 announcement and have been looking forward to get my hands on it ever since. Roccat has a recent history with ThinkComputers of having top notch products. I don’t know if I’ve encountered a brand that has made such a splash with me in such a short period of time. The Lua is a gaming mouse that follows the same aesthetic scheme of the rest of the Roccat products but it’s a question of if it will follow the same quality scheme. I’m hoping the Lua blows me away the same way the Noisy Cricket does ‘Jay’ the first time he discharges it. (WATCH THE MOVIE!)

As far as I know the Lua is the smallest mouse Roccat currently has in its product line. The box the Lua comes in is a reflection of that. The box is a classic sexy looking Roccat box with all the bells and whistles listed on the front and back.
