Reeven Kelveros RC-1202 CPU Cooler Review

One of my favorite things in life is discovering new, great, and fascinating things.  As a techie, this desire is fulfilled quite often.  Today I would like to introduce you to both a new product and a new company, so without further ado here is the Reeven Kelveros RC-1202.  It is a single tower air cooler from this new upstart out of Taiwan.  The Kelveros RC-1202 is an combatively styled, moderately sized air cooler, suited to the mid to lower upper level overclocker.  If you’re as curious as I was to find out how it would perform following along as I put it through it’s paces.

Special thanks to Reeven for providing us with the Kelveros RC-1202 CPU Cooler to review.

Features
– Super powerful cooling performance due to Heatpipe Direct Contact Solution (H.D.C.S.).
– Unique cutting edge fin design for optimized air flow through the heatsink.
– 8mm copper heatpipe x 2 and 6mm copper heatpipe x 2 ; Hybrid heatpipe design.
– Equipped REEVEN original Coldwing12 FAN (PWM+H/L) for better cooling performance.
– Easy installation and supporting all the latest Intel and AMD CPU sockets.

Packaging
Unlike a lot of products, the Kelveros ships in a rather miniscule sized box.  Measuring only 8”x5”x4” it is indeed quite compact for a mid size air cooler.  Whether or not this helps in this case, having less packaging certainly can help to reduce a product’s cost.  Adorning the front is a close up of the top of the cooler, a brief compatibility guide on the lower left, and a short description of key features on the top right.

The back of the box contains the manufacturers warranty information.  This is quite nice actually, most often this information can only be found once you’ve actually purchased the product and opened the box.  Some highlights from the warranty include 2 years of service for exchange or repairs and they really only require a proof of purchase to use the warranty.

There are a couple of unique things you will notice about this selection.  The first is that Reeven was kind enough to attach one of their Coldwing 12 fans for you!  No mounting clips to get hung up on trying to attach the fan.  Secondly is the black sleeved wires running from the fans into the small parts box.  This is connected to a high/low fan speed controller.  It is an interesting feature as the fan is also PWM controlled.
