Raidmax Cobra Overview
For a full video overview of the case check out our video below.
The Cobra is a mid tower case with the official dimensions of 525(L) X 240(W) X 460(H)mm, which makes it about the size of your normal mid tower. The Cobra we received is black and that is currently the only color available. The case does have some cool accents that we expect from Raidmax.
Starting at the front of the case you have three 5.25-inch drive bays, they have the easy release latches on them. Moving down there is a section that has your front panel connections and buttons. Moving from left to right you have a USB 2.0 port, headphone and microphone ports, a USB 3.0 port and reset button.
Moving down there is a pretty aggressive design which is actually part of the intake of the case. The only way to really describe it is that it looks sort of like a transformer head. Behind the design is a 120mm green LED fan.
The side panel of the case a window and a section that extrudes. These are things that we expect from Raidmax and that we rarely see on other cases. The window while not the largest does have a pretty cool honeycomb design on it. At the top of the case you will find spots for dual 120/140mm fans or a single 180mm fan, but they are not included.
On the back of the case you will find the only other fan in the case which is a 120mm exhaust fan. Right below it are two large watercooling holes. Of course with most cases you are going to find the power supply at the bottom of the case, and you do here as well. Each side panel of the case has a handle on it and thumbscrews for easy removal.
The opposite side panel of the case has the same design as the other panel, minus the window. On the bottom of the case you will find two filters, they are the simple flimsy ones that are easily removed.
