The Drives
We received 2 different types of drives from PromoLocker; the first drive is the U38-Flip Drive. It is available in sizes ranging from 64MB to 8GB and comes in many different colors. Our drive came in a nice case, which would be perfect for giving out at an event.
The front of the drive has the ThinkComputers logo on it. You can see that PromoLocker moved the “Think Guy” to the center of the logo; you can see that they can do a lot with the logo that you send them. Flipping the drive over they have put all of the Think Network sites on the back of the drive, a nice addition.
I think that the reason they call this drive the flip drive is because the top of the drive flips down so you can plug it into your computer. This is also really cool because it allows you to stand the drive up when you are not using it.
Our second drive is the WU-100-Illuminator “Flash” drive. It looks more like your typical flash drive. It is also available in 64MB to 8GB sizes and comes in many different colors. It came in a small black box. Inside of the box is the drive and a small miniUSB cable.
This drive also has our logo on it but it’s in its normal orientation. On the back of the drive, just like the other one is a list of all of our sites. This drive also has a keychain on it so you can easily attach it to your key ring or lanyard.
You will notice this drive does not have a cap, that’s because it has a miniUSB connection on the side. This means you will have to carry a miniUSB cable with you at all times if you want to use the drive. This is not a big deal, but to some it might be. The reason this drive is called the “Flash” is because it is actually a flashlight too! If you press the large button on the top 2 bright LED’s on the front will light up.
