PrimoChill Compression Tube Reservoir Review

PrimoChill CTR Overview
The CTR is a laser cut acrylic tube reservoir sealed on both ends with delrin end caps. Typically a tube reservoir has threads cut into the inside ends of the tubing on which are threaded the end caps. Unlike those reservoirs, PrimoChill’s CRT seals without threads by compressing an oring between the end cap and another disc of delrin inside. This is a very unique design and is exclusive to PrimoChill. The reservoir comes preinstalled with the end caps in place and is ready to be used.

Included with our CRT is 2 sets of mounting brackets, mounting hardware, instructions, and nylon screws needed to install the end caps.

The mounting bracket itself is made of acrylic and has some flex to is, while the base is made of aluminum. There are two metal screws for mounting the bracket base to your case. Included are two lengths of nylon thumbscrews. The shorter nylon thumb screw is for the mounting bracket, while the longer two are for re-installing the endcaps. Also included is a set of small replacement orings for the allen screws in the endcaps.

Each end cap on the CRT is different. One has four G 1/4 threaded holes and the other has two. Oddly neither of the endcaps has a centered G 1/4 hole. Both also have 4 allen screws in them that hold the endcap together.

Missing from the list of included accessories is a set of G 1/4 plugs. Depending on your setup, there should have been a minimum of 4 plugs included. Because of this the CRT does not come ready with everything needed to be used.
