Plextor Announces the M7V Value SSD

Plextor has just announced the M7V solid state drive. The M7V is set to be a cost-effective drive, which will suceed the M6V series that was launched last July. The M7V will be available in 2.5-inch and M.2 form factors, taking advantage of the SATA 6Gb/s interface. The M7V is powered by the Marvell 88SS1074B1 processor and features Toshiba 15nm TLC NAND flash and a DDR3 DRAM cache.

The drive will be available in 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB capacities. The drives offer sequential transfer rates of up to 560 MB/s reads on all three variants, with writes up to 500 MB/s, 530 MB/s, and 530 MB/s, respectively. The rated TBW tolerance also depends on the capacity so you have so it is 80 TB, 160 TB, or 320 TB respectively. No word yet on pricing.
