Sony’s PlayStation VR headset is one of the most unique VR headsets launching this year, as its launching exclusively for one system. While it will launch exclusively for PlayStation 4, things may change in the future. Speaking with Nikkei, Sony Computer Entertainment executive vice president Masayasu Ito has revealed that Sony is considering bringing PlayStation VR to PC in the future.
If this does happen it won’t be immediate as Sony is fully focused on developing games for the headset. But bringing the headset to PC is very interesting as the headset will cost less than Oculus Right and HTC Vive at launch. It will also be interesting to see how the headset will perform on machines that are significantly more powerful than the PlayStation 4.
Sony’s PlayStation VR headset will be released sometime in October. If we hear anything about it coming to PC we will be sure to let you know!
