Photos of ASRock Z270 Fatal1ty Motherboard Leaked

Some of the first photos of a production version ASRock Z270 Fatal1ty-branded motherboard have been leaked to the web. While there is a not a full shot of the board the leaked photos show off the board’s VRM section with prominent “Z270” logo, rear I/O, storage connections, PCH heatsink, and expansion slots.

Taking a look at the rear I/O we can see dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, an area for antennas for WiFi, four USB 3.1 ports (one of which is type-C), two USB 3.0 ports, PS/2 connector, 8-channel audio with a TOSLINK connector and a display outputs including DVI, D-Sub, and HDMI. The rear I/O includes a cover which displays “Intel Gigabit Ethernet” on it.

Moving down the board it appears to have at least three PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots and two x1 slots. The x16 slots have metal shielding. The board will feature the Sound Blaster Cinema 3 audio solution.

Taking a look at the storage connections the board appears to have eight SATA 6GB/s ports and at least one M.2 slot which will have Intel Optane support out of the box. Not much else has been revealed by the photos. The Z270 motherboards are expected to launch alongside the 7th generation Core “Kaby Lake” processors in January.
