Patriot Xporter XT Rage 32GB Flash Drive Review

Final Thoughts
It really has been a while since I’ve reviewed a high performance USB flash drive.  Most people think flash drives are all the same, but you definitely notice the difference between a high performance drive and a normal drive.  I had this experience when I was trying to transfer some file from one PC to another and I couldn’t find my good flash drive.  I was forced to use an old flash drive and waiting for things to transfer was just a pain!

This is why I like having a high performance flash drive so I don’t have to wait all the time to transfer files.  The Patriot Xporter XT Rage proved to be one of the fastest drives we have seen with 29MB/s read and 26MB/s write in ATTO.  With these speeds you will not have any trouble transferring files or even watching HD videos from the drive itself.

The design of the drive is simple.  It is a little rugged and I really like the pop-out USB connector.  I really wish there was a lanyard or keychain included with the drive though.

The Xporter XT Rage 32GB flash drive is available at my favorite online retailer for $66.99, which is a good price given that most 32GB flash drives are between $50 and $90.  Overall ThinkComputers gives the Patriot Xporter XT Rage 32GB Flash Drive a 9 out of 10 score.

  1. My experience the Patriot flash drives tells me to stay away.
I own an ST Rage 16 GB.
It works fine for a short while on Windows 7 and Windows XP, but then I get the message that the drive needs to be formatted with Windows 7.
If it won’t continually work with both operating systems, what good is it?
Not worth having at any price.
