Patriot Xporter XT Rage 32GB Flash Drive Review

Testing – HDTune & Flash Memory Toolkit
HDTune Pro is one of the most popular hard drive software suites available. It has many different benchmarks and tests built into it. Our first test is the read benchmark, which tests the average read speed and access time of the drive.

Once again you see the Xporter XT Rage beating out the competition!

HDTune has a file benchmark that tests speeds across specific lengths.  We ran this test on all 3 drives.

The Xporter XT Rage definitely has better read speeds, but the Kingston DT mini10 did have better write speeds at higher file lengths.

Our final testing program is the Flash Memory Toolkit.  It has a low-level benchmark that is much like the HDTune benchmark.  Here are the results from that test.

The Xporter XT Rage is on top again.  Just like HDTune the Flash Memory Toolkit has a file benchmark.  It tests 1MB – 15MB file sizes.

Once again it was very interesting to see the Kingston DT mini10 score really high write speeds, even higher than its own read speeds.  The Xporter XT Rage did perform very will though, it had higher read speeds than any other drive.
