Usage & Testing
To get started with the drive all you have to do is plug it into your PC and Windows will automatically recognize it. When you open the drive it will be formatted, giving you a total storage capacity of 235GB.
For testing we will be using a few different storage benchmarking programs. They include CrystalDiskMark, ATTO Disk Benchmark, Sandra’s Physical Disks Benchmark, HD Tune, and Black Magic Disk Speed Test.
Now we will be testing on our ASUS Z170-A motherboard, which features the ASMedia USB 3.1 controller. Be sure you have the proper drivers installed for your motherboard or you might get default USB 3.0 speeds rather than USB 3.1.
Here are our read speeds across those benchmarks.
As you can see our top score is 418 MB/s and the lowest is 332 MB/s, very impressive scores. Now on to the write results.
Scores here were good as well.
