System Specs & Testing
We will be testing the 32GB Supersonic USB 3.9 flash drive on our Intel X58 system which is comprised of the following components.
Processor: Intel Core i7 965 Extreme
Video Card: Zotac GeForce GTX 560 Ti AMP! Edition
Motherboard: Gigabyte X58A-UD5
Memory: 6GB Crucial Ballistix
Storage: 750GB SATA drive
Power: Zalman ZM1000-HP Plus 1000W
Case: In Win BUC Mid Tower
We will be testing the Supersonic flash drive at both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 speeds. This will give you an idea of the advantage of using a USB 3.0 drive. Unfortunately we do not have another USB 3.0 flash drive to compare the Supersonic to.
Our first test is HD Tune Pro. We ran the read benchmark.
Next up we have the Flash Memory toolkit. It has a low-level benchmark built in.
Now on to Sandra, we ran both the Physical Disks Benchmark and and Removable Storage Benchmark.
