Testing – ATTO Disk Benchmark & CrystalDiskMark
Next up we have ATTO Disk Benchmark that measures transfer rates across specific lengths. ATTO uses RAW data, our transfer sizes ranged from 0.5 to 8192kb. ATTO is usually our definitive benchmark for solid state drives.

The Pyro SE performance puts it right in the middle of the pack, which is very impressive.
CrystalDiskMark is next and it has a sequential read / write test as well as a 512k and 4k random read / write test. We normally run this test with a 0 fill or with compressible data, but since synchronous memory is supposed to work better with incompressible data we ran the normal test first.

As you can see the drive did well on the read test, but still very low on the write test. Now let’s go ahead and run the test on 0 fill.

Great results here as well.
