Intel Extreme Masters Overview
The Patriot Intel Extreme Masters memory definitely stands out! Each module has a bright metallic blue heatspreader, which of course matches the “Intel Blue” we all know. The PCB of the modules is black, which I am a huge fan of.
The heatspreader on these modules are actually the same ones on Patriot’s Viper 3 Series, except for the color and logos are different. On one side of the modules you have an “Intel Extreme Masters” logo in the center. Above that you have a Patriot memory logo and on the far right is “Limited Edition” in a nice cursive font. These modules look very sleek and will definitely stand out in your system.
One unique feature of the heatspreaders is that they wrap all the way around the modules. Because of this Patriot is able to put their logo on the top of the modules. So if you have a case with a window people can see that you are using Patriot memory. The heatspreaders do extend above the modules so you are going to want to make sure you do not run into any clearance issues with aftermarket cooling solutions on your CPU.
On the opposite side of the heatspreader is a sticker that has all of the information about the module. In our case each module is 4GB running at 2133Mhz with timings of 11-11-11-27 at 1.5v. The kits are tested to work with Intel 6 and 7 series chipsets, are XMP certified and have a lifetime warranty.
