It looks like Corsair has another first on their hands. They have just announced their new Vengeance Extreme 8GB dual channel memory kits, which are rated at 3000MHz! That makes them the world’s fastest rated production PC memory kits! These new 2x4GB kits have timings of 12-14-14-36 at 1.5V. They are air cooled and use simple “racing red” heat spreaders. Corsair will also include a Kingpin cooling memory cooler for overclockers who want to use LN2.
Kingston is celebrating 10 years of HyperX. Can you believe that HyperX has been around that long? It makes me feel pretty old! HyperX is of course Kingston’s high performance memory line. Recently they have added the HyperX name to other high performance products like their solid state drives and flash drives. To commemorate the 10th Anniversary of HyperX Kingston has released their 10th Anniversary HyperX Memory Kits. The modules feature an extremely attractive heatspreader, high frequencies, XMP profiles and the heatspreaders are not that large so they will not get in the way of your CPU cooler. Today we are looking at the KHX24C11X3K4/16X kit which is a 16GB kit (4x 4GB) that operates at 2400MHz with timings of 11-13-13 at 1.65V.
Micron Technology, Inc., one of the world’s leading providers of advanced semiconductor solutions, and TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity, announced today the availability of a Single-Sided SODIMM and a low-profile single-sided, double data rate 3 (DDR3) SODIMM connector solution to take advantage of the burgeoning market for Ultrabook devices, convertibles, tablets and other thin and light devices.
Not that long ago Kingston announced a new entry into their HyperX line, Beast. The Beast memory kits are designed for users who want the largest capacity memory available, but still want that performance memory speed and quality. HyperX Beast is part of the Predator line so it is made for both power users and enthusiasts. As I said these kits are for people who want large capacities so the lowest capacity kit available is 16GB. Kingston was nice enough to send us the “big boy” of the line which is the KHX21C11T3FK8/64X kit. This a 64GB (8x8GB) kit running at 2133MHz with timings of 11-12-11 at 1.65v. So let’s get started!
ADATA Technology, a leading manufacturer of high-performance DRAM modules and NAND Flash storage application products, today announces a facelift of the company’s popular XPG line of DRAM modules that gives PC enthusiasts a choice of easily distinguishable performance options in three different stylish heat spreader colors.
Not that long ago we took a look at Crucial’s Ballistix Tactical Low Profile memory. Today we are checking out the Ballistix Sport Low Profile memory. Both of these memory kits solve the dilemma of an aftermarket CPU cooler covering up your memory slots. This kit is a low profile kit meaning it is going to fit below most aftermarket CPU coolers and be out of the way. There are not that many choices when it comes to low profile memory so that fact that Crucial is offering their Ballistix line in low profile versions is great. The memory we are taking a look at today is the 16GB (8GB x 2) kit running with timings of 9-9-9-24 at 1.35v (BLS2K8G3D1609ES2LX0). Read on as we check out this memory!
When it comes to choosing memory for a new system we have many choices. From the high-end with crazy heatspreaders and LED lights to the plain-jane green modules without any heatspreaders. Corsair has always been on my list when recommending memory, especially for the high-end. Previously Corsair’s high-end offering was their Dominator GT line, which were great and were very popular. Corsair is back with a brand new line called their Dominator Platinum. The Dominator Platinum modules are built using only select memory ICs, highly-screened for performance and stability and feature a new industrial design and LED lighting effects. These have to be some of the best looking modules I have seen all year! But how do they perform? Read on to find out!
Crucial, a leading global brand of memory and storage upgrades, today announced the immediate availability of Crucial Ballistix Low Profile (LP) memory, which delivers a true low profile design to provide more clearance around high-end CPU coolers and improve airflow throughout the system. Designed for performance enthusiasts and small form factor computer builders with limited space, Crucial Ballistix LP memory features all the performance benefits of Ballistix memory without the height concerns of taller modules.
Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, today announced HyperX Beast, the latest addition to the HyperX product line. It matches high performance with the largest available capacities and is XMP ready. With its eye-catching aggressive heatspreader design, HyperX Beast is aimed at hardcore gamers, PC modders, content creators and overclockers who want high-performing hardware in an innovative design.
I am a huge fan of special or limited edition memory kits. Memory has sort of been boring the past year as not much has really changed and products like SSD’s are being chosen as the main component to speed up your system when it comes to an upgrade. The kit we are taking a look at today from Patriot was made for Intel’s Extreme Masters gaming tournaments. The kit features a very unique and stylish design and is available in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB kits up to 2133MHz in either dual or quad channel configurations. The kits are tested to work with Intel 6 and 7 series chipsets, are XMP certified and have a lifetime warranty. Read on as we take a look at this limited edition memory!
