For those waiting for a dual Hawaii-based graphics card you might not have to wait that much longer. ASUS is planning to launch their custom built ARES III Hawaii-based card at Computex 2014. The ARES brand is ASUS’s custom built dual-chip graphics lineup based on AMD GPUs.
MSI’s upcoming R9 290X Lightning was been previewed by the guys over at Overclock3D. The R9 290X Lightning will be MSI’s latest “Lightning” card featuring the AMD “Hawaii” GPU along with MSI’s TriFrozr cooling solution and Military IV Class Components.
Today AMD has launched the R9 280 graphics card. It looks like they are chasing that $279 pricetag that NVIDIA’s GeForce GTX 760 holds. The R9 280 is basically a rebrand of the HD 7950, more specifically the HD 7950 Boost with a 8 MHz difference.
Sapphire is working a new upcoming Radeon R9 290X in their Vapor-X series. What is interesting about this card is that Sapphire will be doubling the memory over AMD’s reference design, giving you a total of 8GB of VRAM! This will make the Sapphire Radeon R9 290X Vapor-X the first consumer-based graphics card with 8GB of VRAM.
In addition to launching their first Maxwell-based cards in the GeForce GTX 750 Series, NVIDIA also announced their new flagship graphics card the GeForce GTX Titan Black. This card will be replacing the original GeForce GTX Titan.
NVIDIA officially announced their GeForce GTX 750 Series, which is made up of the GeForce GTX 750 Ti and GeForce GTX 750. Both of these cards are entry level cards and based on the 28 nm GM107 silicon. These are the first two cards based on NVIDIA’s next-generation Maxwell GPU architecture.
NVIDIA will be releasing their GeForce GTX Titan Black next week. This is not going to be a huge announcement, but rather a subtle one. The card will appear in stores soon after the NDA lifts.
It looks like the final specifications for both the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti and GTX 750 have been revealed by Vietnamese site Tinhte.vn. The information is directly from an NVIDIA press conference where NVIDIA was going over the Maxwell architecture and the new cards.
