I myself travel a good bit for LAN parties, with them ether being at a friend’s house or a larger LAN event like Pittco events right here in Pittsburgh. Traveling and carrying around a big case can sometimes be a pain. Then again there are not very many mATX cases that will suit the needs of gamers and fit their larger graphics cards and heatsinks. But Thermaltake was nice enough to send us over their Armor A30 case for us to take a look at. Let’s see if this case will suit my needs and the need of other gamers out there.
Thermaltake surprised everyone when they announced the Level 10 case. It was something that we had never seen before and was really a design marvel. While the case was truly amazing the price tag was not, not many people have $800 to drop on a case. Thermaltake knew this, but still loved the design of the Level 10 so they have released the Level 10 GT, which keeps some of the same styling of the original Level 10, but drops the price considerably. This case features 5 hot-swappable hard drive bays, USB 3.0 connectivity, three 200mm fans, and some cool lighting effects. Let’s check it out and see if Thermaltake has another winner.

Thermaltake, leading DIY chassis brand, is launching their latest edition to the popular and award winning ARMOR series of PC cases. The entirely black ARMOR A30 sports the familiar “bulletproof” armor design concept with metal mesh elements lending the ARMOR series an extremely stylish and powerful appearance that attracts gamers and enthusiasts alike. The top and front blue LED-fans enhance the overall combat ambience. It’s small dimensions of 266 (H) x 291 (W) X 456 (D) cm make it an ideal solution for small form factor systems (Micro ATX and mini ITX), while still allowing for enough room to house the most powerful graphics cards available on the market today (e.g. AMD Radeon HD 5970 and NVIDIA GTX460). Demanding LAN party goers can now set up a truly powerful gaming machine that is still small enough to be portable and stylish at the same time.
Hard drive docking stations started to appear more frequently about 2 years ago. A hard drive dock is something every system builder and most computer users should have. So often people need to get information off a hard drive and what easier way to do that than with a hard drive dock. The hard drive dock really has not changed that much, but with the introduction of USB 3.0 you are now able to get even faster speeds from hard drive docks. Today we will be taking a look at the BlacX 5G USB 3.0 Hard Drive Docking Station from Thermaltake.
