Introduction

The Vantec NexStar 3i External Hard Drive Enclosure incorporates power saving modes to help save power and prolong the life of hard drives. It operates in three power saving modes: idle, stand by, and power down; all of which are automatic. The USB connectivity provides high data transfer rates on hard drives with up to 1TB of data. Packaging

The Vantec NexStar 3i comes packaged in a fairly simple retail box. The front shows a picture of the enclosure while covering some basic specifications. The back of the box goes into more description about the features and specifications of the NexStar 3i by including an overview paragraph and a breakdown of the power consumption.

Inside of the box we find the enclosure protected by two pieces of soft foam while being separated from the rest of the parts by a cardboard sheet. Inside of the box we have the 3.5" NexStar 3i Power Management Enclosure, Power Management Software, User Manual, USB Cable, Vertical Stand, Power Adapter, and Installation Screws.
