Introduction

I liken Lian-Li to the Mercedes-Benz of the chassis design world. The Taiwan-based company designs its chassis with sleek, conservative style and hand-builds cases out of lightweight, yet durable aluminum. The chassis are generally not flashy, but are very, very conducive for high-performance cooling while overclocking. Lian-Li recently renewed its V series line-up with five new cases: PC-V2110, PC-V2010, PC-V1110, PC-V1000Z, and the focus of this review, the PC-V1010. ThinkComputers goes inside the Lian-Li PC-V1010 chassis in this review.

Packaging

The huge, heavy packaging features the Lian-Li PC-V1010 prominently displayed on the font, with smaller pictures featuring the characteristics which make this case special, such as the variety of front panel connectors, the anodized finishing on the brushed-metal body, and the integrated fan controller.

The side of the box display the internal view of the unit, showing the dual heat zone design, separate compartment for internal drives, and excellent cooling system.

While the Taiwan or US Postal Service evidently handled this parcel less than spectacularly, the chassis arrived intact and without a dent. That's a testament to the packing methods of Lian-Li.

Included with the case is a few guides, a pair of fans (one already installed), a screw bag, and some other parts to take advantage of the case's amenities.
